12/14, 12/21, & 12/28 No hikes--see below

12/14 was to be an in-and-out to do Bear Creek. Because I would have picked up Judy and Lowell at Food Lion at 5:00, and because we would not get to trail head until ~7:30 or later, and because the days are short, it was cancelled.

12/21 Rabbit Creek. Did not do because (1) did not want to wade in Dec. and (2) had not finished flooring.

12/28 Hannah Mountain Trail--was going to do with Lowell but person who was to pick us up thought weather too threatening.

Cherokee Orchard, Roaring Frks Mtr, Baskins Creek

This hike is in conjunction with the Xmas Party at Bill Broom’s house in Gatlinburg. First Ellie was going to ride with me but ended up riding from Food Lion with Janetta and Ellie plus two other women. There were a large group of hikers for this one because of the party and because it was quite short (7-8 miles). It included Cherokee Orchard (I had done this one previously when I went to SVC with Dan Lawson). At the terminus of this trail we walked down the Roaring Forks Motor Trail, then to Baskins Creek. From there we were quite close to Bill Broom’s house.
